Pune: Kumar Sublime CHSL In Kondhwa Khurd Unveils 80 kWh Solar Power Plant
Pune: In a significant move towards sustainable living, Kumar Sublime CHSL, located in Kondhwa Khurd, Pune, inaugurated an 80 kWh grid-connected solar power plant with net metering. Installed at a cost of Rs 55 lakh, the solar system is expected to generate 8,000 units of electricity per month, resulting in an estimated monthly saving of Rs 1.7 lakh on electricity bills.
The inauguration ceremony was held in the presence of Mr Suhas Patwardhan, Chairman of the Maharashtra Cooperative Housing Societies and Apartments Federation Limited. He was joined by Pune Federation Vice Chairman Mr Subhash Karnik, Directors Mr Dhavle, Mr Asgekar, Mr Deshpande, Mr Chowgule, Mr Suryawanshi, Mr Thorat, Executive Director Col Pramod Dahitule, and other dignitaries including former PMC Corporator Mrs Nanda Lonkar, Allana College of Architecture Dean Mrs Leena Debanath, Professor Mr Romeiro Silveira, Captain Silveira, and Mr Sunil Jagtap, Officer from Maharashtra Training and Education Board.

The solar power plant was installed by SolarSquare Energy and represented by Mr Bhushan Danger, Mr Shivam, Mr Anbadas Divekar, Mr Sopan, and Mr Digambar. Execution support from the society’s end was led by Mr Jitendra, Mr Zameer, and Ms Supriya Pandagale. The project was coordinated by managing committee members Mr Zaid and Mr Mudassir, in collaboration with the society’s sub-committee, under the leadership of Chairman Mr Sayyed Shabbir.
Speaking at the event, Avelino Noronha, Secretary of Kumar Sublime CHSL, said, “This is yet another eco-friendly initiative by Sublime to preserve nature through the use of renewable energy.” The initiative marks a major step towards environmental conservation and community-led sustainability.
