Pune: Kunal Icon CHSL In Pimple Saudagar Hosts Second Mini Marathon With Strong Community Participation
Pune, January 19, 2026: Kunal Icon Cooperative Housing Society Limited (CHSL) in Pimple Saudagar, Pune, successfully conducted its second Mini Marathon, titled Kunal Icon Marathon 2026, along with a special Walkathon for senior citizens, fostering fitness and community bonding.
Held on the morning of January 18, 2025, the event was marked by high energy and enthusiastic participation. A total of 150 fitness enthusiasts took part in the marathon, competing in 10 km, 5 km, and 3 km categories. Despite the early 6 am start, runners turned up in large numbers, dressed in sportswear and proudly wearing their marathon bibs.
Women participants across age groups played a leading role, showcasing exceptional enthusiasm and commitment to fitness. The event was conducted smoothly, with no safety issues or accidents reported, reflecting effective planning and coordination.
The successful execution of the marathon was the result of collective efforts by organisers Kiran Sangamnerkar, Sanjay Rastogi, Mayuresh Jadhav, Shrikant Chothave, and Pradeep Dhawane, supported by a dedicated team of 20 volunteers. The initiative also received strong backing from the society’s Management Committee, led by Chairman Shri Sumit Kumar Singh, Secretary Abhijeet Parkhi, and Treasurer Vasumati Joglekar.
The Kunal Icon Marathon 2026 once again highlighted the society’s commitment to promoting health, wellness, and active lifestyles among residents of all age groups.
