Pune: Leading from the front Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL or MahaVitaran) has given speed to rooftop solar power generation projects in a move to end the plight of Punekars regarding effective energy generation.

Approximately 10,170 solar power projects with a capacity of 253.94 MW have been commissioned due to good response in Pune circle.

This includes 72 MW solar projects from 7,580 individuals and society households and around 3,580 projects with a capacity of 96.79 MW are in progress.

Shedding more light on the benefits & implementation of solar power projects, Rajendra Pawar, Chief Engineer, MSEDCL Pune said, “Rooftop solar power projects are bringing huge financial benefits to households by reducing electricity bills.
