Pune : Major accident on Lohegaon Dhanori Road: truck hits biker

Pune: A horrifying incident took place on the Lohegaon Dhanori road on Wednesday as a bike rider fell off and came under a speeding truck.
Speaking to Pune Pulse, Yasmin, a Lohegaon resident said, “We witnessed this horrific incident. We were on our way in a car. Due to road work going on, one side of the road was closed for the traffic. The biker & the truck collided with each other, causing the biker to fall off his bike and he came under the tires of that speeding truck. The truck driver immediately fled away from the scene. An ambulance was called immediately to take the motorist to a hospital nearby.”
Vilas Sonde, Police Inspector, Vimantal Police Station said, “As soon as we got the information, our team immediately rushed to the spot. We have sent the motorist to Sassoon Hospital for treatment.”
The Vimantal Police has urged the citizens to be cautious while driving & stay safe.
