Pune: The Chatuhshrungi police have booked two youths for providing fake documents during the police recruitment process. The two accused are identified as Sujit Shivaji Salunke and Sharad Nagnath Mane both are native to Solapur districts.

Speaking to Pune Pulse, Balaji Pandhare, Police Inspector, Chatuhsrungi Police Station said, “2 people have been charged by the Chatuhsrungi police for providing fraudulent documents for police recruitment examination. A case under sections 420, 419, 471, 468 and 465 of IPC has been registered against the individuals.”

As per information, the two accused belong to Madha, in Solapur. They purportedly gave a fake ‘Prakalpgrast Pramanpatra’ (project affected certificate) to Pune’s Superintendent of Police (SP) office during the recruitment cycle by saying that it was given by the Beed district collector and rehabilitation officer.

The documents were discovered to be fake during the verification. The certificate was from the Beed district, even though both the accused are from Solapur. Hence, a police team visited Beed. They came to know that the project-affected certificate was in someone else’s name.

Now, further investigation is going on about the individuals’ whereabouts and soon, both of them will be caught.
