Pune: Massive Fire Breaks Out in Two Warehouses in Pimple Gurav Due to Short Circuit, Property Gutted
A massive fire broke out in two warehouses in the Pimple Gurav area of Pimpri–Chinchwad, Pune, on Sunday afternoon, allegedly due to a short circuit. The incident occurred around 12:00 noon in the vicinity behind Chandrabhaga Lawns, where flames rapidly engulfed both storage units.
According to officials, the fire completely gutted the warehouses, causing extensive damage to property. On receiving the alert, the fire brigade of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation rushed to the spot and carried out immediate firefighting operations, successfully bringing the blaze under control and preventing it from spreading to nearby areas.
Preliminary investigations by the fire department suggest that the fire may have been caused by a short circuit in warehouses storing decorative materials and wooden plywood. No casualties have been reported so far, and further assessment of losses is underway.
