Pune, December 15, 2025: A deeply disturbing incident has come to light from Pune’s Maval region, where a five-year-old girl who went missing from her home was found sexually assaulted, murdered, sending shockwaves across the area. The Pimpri-Chinchwad Police have arrested the accused, and the case has triggered widespread anger and grief among local residents.
According to police officials, the child went missing from her house around 6 pm on Saturday. The incident came to the family’s attention when the girl’s mother returned home from work and could not find her. Following the complaint, police teams immediately launched a search operation.
During the investigation, police revealed that the accused, identified as Sameer Kumar Mandal, allegedly took advantage of the child being alone at home. The accused, a 35-year-old married man, was subsequently taken into custody.
