What is ‘Station Pile Cap’?

The pile (pillar) on which the station is to be erected can be broadly defined as the foundation connecting the pier and the piling dug for it. Before placing this pile cap, pits of uniform size are made according to the total pressure on the pole in the ground, which is called ‘pile’. The station pile cap has been erected on six such pilings.
