Pune Metro to operate across all stations starting today
Starting September 30, 2024, Pune Metro will operate passenger services across all stations, including District Court, Kasba Peth (Budhwar Peth), Mandai, and Swargate. The service will run on both the Purple and Aqua lines.
Purple Line: The route from PCMC to Swargate will operate daily from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM. During peak hours from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, trains will run every 7 minutes. At other times, including early morning and late evening, trains will operate every 10 minutes. The journey from PCMC to Swargate will take approximately 34 minutes, covering a distance of 17.5 kilometers.
Aqua Line: The service from Vanaz to Ramwadi will also run from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Similar to the Purple Line, trains will run every 7 minutes during peak hours and every 10 minutes at other times. This route will take around 37 minutes to complete the 14.5-kilometer stretch.
This expansion marks a significant milestone for Pune’s public transport system, enhancing connectivity and making commuting easier for residents. With these scheduled services, Pune Metro aims to serve thousands of passengers efficiently and promote public transport usage in the city.
