Pune Metro to Run Till 6 PM on Lakshmi Pujan, Normal Services from October 22
Pune, October 19, 2025: The Pune Metro Rail administration has released an important notification for passengers in view of the upcoming Diwali festivities. To mark the auspicious occasion of Lakshmi Pujan, a temporary change in metro service timings has been announced for Tuesday, October 21, 2025.
On that day, Pune Metro will operate only during the first half of the day. Trains will run from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., after which services will remain suspended until 11 p.m. This one-day adjustment has been made to accommodate festive celebrations across the city and among metro staff.
Officials have advised passengers to plan their journeys accordingly and complete their travel before 6 p.m. on Lakshmi Pujan day. The Metro management emphasized that the partial closure is a one-time measure specific to the festival.
From Wednesday, October 22, 2025, Pune Metro services will resume as per the regular schedule, operating smoothly from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. across all routes. Commuters can expect normal operations and frequency to continue without disruption.
The authorities expressed regret for any inconvenience caused to passengers during this temporary schedule adjustment. They extended festive greetings to all citizens and thanked commuters for their understanding and cooperation.
