A resident of Ganga Platino in Kharadi, Kashyap Vyas, has voiced concern about the growing problem of intolerable noise pollution in the residential area of Kharadi. The complaint focuses on a number of businesses that have been operating on the main road for the past five years, including juice vendors, pan shops, hotels, etc.

As per information shared by Vyas, “This is my very urgent and repeated reminder for immediate and urgent suo motu proceedings in the serious social evil case against police department, 112 emergency services, and four hotels, vendors, pan shops located on main road, etc involved in the matter for midnight unbearable noise nuisance continuing for last five years.”

Vyas further continued, “Kindly note that due to unbearable midnight noise nuisance created by hotels, vendors, pan shops, I am not able to have sound sleep for the last 17 days at a stretch. The Kharadi Residential Prime Area has become paradise for midnight criminals. Law and Order has totally collapsed in Pune City.”

Kashyap Vyas further shares “112 emergency helpline has totally failed to bring relief to citizens. The police have totally failed to initiate appropriate criminal proceedings as per mandatory rule for the past more than five years.”

Vyas ends by requesting a judicial order to close down hotels indefinitely and to close all unauthorized vendors, pan shops, juice vendors, and other businesses of similar nature that are causing disturbance for citizens at midnight or later.

This appeal is a clear reminder of the urgent need to take prompt, decisive action to address the apparent breakdown of law and order in Pune City and to bring peace and tranquility back to the Kharadi residential area.
