In Katraj, Maharashtra, Vasant More, a leader of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), has brought attention to alleged irregularities surrounding the local bridge at Rajas Society Chowk. More has issued a stern warning to municipal authorities, urging them to swiftly address the issues surrounding the bridge construction.

According to updates shared on Vasant More’s social media handle, the Pune Municipal Corporation invested substantial funds in constructing a bridge over the Ambil Odha near Katraj Rajas Society Chowk. However, oversights such as the failure to elevate the guardrail in front of the bridge and neglecting to maintain its depth have led to significant concerns.

More highlighted the current state of the bridge in a tweet, revealing that sediment accumulation has reduced the effective height of the bridge from three meters to just one meter. He emphasized the urgent need to remove the accumulated silt and deepen the adjacent stream to prevent potential flooding risks in the future.

Expressing dissatisfaction with the authorities’ response, More issued a direct warning through social media, cautioning that if timely action is not taken, both the contractor and the responsible officials would face repercussions.

Accompanied by photographic evidence of the bridge’s deteriorating condition, More’s posts have sparked widespread discussions within the community. Residents and stakeholders are eagerly awaiting the response of the relevant authorities to address the pressing concerns raised by More regarding the Katraj bridge.
