The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has initiated action against unauthorized billboards. Today, a total of 13 billboards were removed, with 4 being taken down by the corporation and 9 voluntarily removed by the owners, according to Commissioner Shekhar Singh.

During this operation, Deputy Commissioner Chandrakant Indalkar, Deputy Commissioner Sandeep Khot, Office Superintendent Gyanchand Bhat, Permit Inspector, laborers, MSF personnel, as well as municipal security guards and staff were present.

Of the 13 unauthorized billboards removed today, 9 were voluntarily taken down by the owners. These included billboards at:

  • 40×10 at Navin Bhakti Shakti Mukai Chowk Road
  • 15×15 at Shani Mandir Road, Wakad
  • 10×10 at Bapuji Bua Nagar, Mumbai-Bangalore Highway, Sai Petrol Pump
  • 30×20 at Bhakti Shakti Chowk, Nigdi
  • 20×20 at Balaji Furniture, near Yash Sane Petrol Pump, Chikhali
  • 20×20 at Shelar Vasti, Dehu Alandi Road, Talwade
  • 30×20 at Satsang Road, Sonawane Vasti, Chikhali
  • 20×20 at Mangal Nagar, Ivana Building, Thergaon
  • 20×20 at MHADA Project, Pune-Mumbai Highway, Tathawade

The 4 billboards removed by the municipal corporation included:

The municipal corporation has announced that actions against unauthorized billboards will continue under the regional offices, urging billboard owners and property owners to cooperate with the municipal corporation.
