Due to Metro construction in the area, MSRTC buses will not be permitted on the 2 km stretch between ABIL Junction and Bremen Chowk in Aundh between the hours of 8 am and 10.30 pm starting on February 20. This will help to clear traffic on Ganeshkhind Road and SPPU junction.

The PMRDA’s ongoing construction of the Hinjawadi-Shivajinagar Metro line has caused traffic chaos on the stretch, particularly at the SPPU junction, according to the Pune traffic police.

According to a senior Pune Traffic Police officer, the MSRTC buses will depart from the bus terminus of the Pune railway station and pass from the College of Engineering, Pune, Shimla Office before taking an alternate route from Ganeshkhind Road, in accordance with the results of the trial that was held on Monday. After passing Range Hills Corner, they will turn right onto Sai Chowk, which will lead to the Khadki railway station, then left onto Ambedkar Chowk, which will lead to Bremen Chowk in Aundh, and vice versa for passenger pickup or drop-off at the designated location at the PMRDA office.

Prior to now, the MSRTC buses ran through Aundh’s Bremen Chowk, Senapati Bapat Road junction, Range Hills Corner, and SPPU junction.

The officer further added that they tested a luxury bus in front of MSRTC representatives. Following the successful trial run, the barricades at Sai Chowk were pushed back one meter to allow buses traveling towards the Khadki railway station to turn smoothly. There had been a notification telling MSRTC drivers to take the new routes.
