Pune: Multi-Vehicle Crash Near Navale Bridge on Pune–Satara Highway Injures 3–4, Traffic Disrupted
A major multi-vehicle accident was reported near Navale Bridge on the Pune–Satara Highway, causing chaos on the busy stretch of road. According to preliminary information, five to six vehicles collided in quick succession near the Dari Bridge area, leading to panic among commuters and temporary traffic congestion.
The incident occurred on the Pune–Satara Highway, close to Navale Bridge, in the afternoon hours. Due to the sudden chain collision, vehicles were left damaged on both sides of the road. One car reportedly hit the divider on the highway, while several others were seen parked along the roadside after the crash.
Injuries and Rescue Operations
As per initial reports, 3 to 4 people were injured in the accident. Fortunately, no fatalities have been reported. The injured were immediately shifted to a government hospital for treatment.
Traffic Impact
Traffic movement from the Satara side towards Navale Bridge was severely affected for some time due to the accident. A significant traffic jam was witnessed on the bridge, causing inconvenience to daily commuters.
Police Action
Upon receiving information about the accident, the police administration rushed to the spot. Accident-hit vehicles were cleared from the road, and traffic was gradually restored. The exact cause of the accident is still under investigation.
