Pune Municipal Corporation Cracks Down On Encroachments InĀ Nagar Road, Aundh-Baner, HadapsarĀ
Pune, September 11, 2025: Acting on the directives of the Municipal Commissioner, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) initiated a joint anti-encroachment campaign starting September 9, 2025, which will continue until further orders.
On September 10, operations were carried out in Nagar Road (Vadgaonsheri), Aundh-Baner, Dhankawadi-Sahakarnagar, Hadapsar-Mundhwa, and Kasba-Vishrambaugwada ward office jurisdictions.
The drive targeted unauthorized structures on public roads and footpaths, roadside encroachments, and illegal street vending.
The campaign was conducted under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Sandeep Khalate, along with Assistant Municipal Commissioners of the respective ward offices, engineers from the Building Development Department, encroachment officials, inspectors, support staff, police personnel, and the Maharashtra Security Force.
Action was also taken against vendors violating terms of PMCās hawker permits and encroachment certificatesāsuch as not running the business themselves, subletting stalls, operating in unauthorized areas, engaging in unapproved trades, or using gas cylinders without authorization.
