Pune, August 29, 2025 – Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has achieved the first rank in the interim review of Maharashtra Government’s 150-Day Administrative Reform Programme for its outstanding performance in e-governance initiatives.

The review meeting was held at Sahyadri Guest House in Mumbai, chaired by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Among all municipal corporations in the state, PMC was exclusively selected to present its progress report, which was presented by Municipal Commissioner Naval Kishore Ram. Additional Municipal Commissioner (E-Governance) Prithviraj B.P. was also present.

Key Highlights of PMC’s E-Governance Initiatives:

Website and Mobile Apps: PMC has developed a new mobile-friendly website with 36 micro-sites in Marathi and English, attracting over 6.7 million visitors annually. Citizen-centric mobile apps such as PMC Care, Road Mitra, and PMC ISWM have also been launched.

RTS and Online Services: 97 services have been officially notified under the Right to Services Act, with 89 available online. Over 2.25 lakh citizens availed these services last year.

Complaint Redressal System: Citizens can register complaints through 10 different channels, including mobile apps, WhatsApp, and social media. In the last year, 1.15 lakh complaints were resolved.

E-Office Implementation: Since June 2025, the entire municipal office has transitioned to an e-office system with over 2,500 active users.

Advanced Technology: GIS-based Road Asset Management System (RAMS) and Integrated Works Management System (IWMS) have been adopted.

Data & Analytics: A central dashboard with 500 KPIs from 40 departments is under development; 20 dashboards are already active. The “PMC Spark” war room conducts fortnightly reviews of 50 projects.

AI and Tech Integration: PMC chatbot on the website and WhatsApp assists citizens, while WhatsApp is used for tax bills, notices, and updates. AI tools such as predictive analysis, sentiment analysis, and voice bots will enhance property tax recovery and citizen engagement.

These initiatives have positioned PMC as a leader in e-governance reforms across Maharashtra, with a commitment to completing pending tasks and leveraging technology for citizen welfare.
