Pune, 16 July 2024: Following the Kalyani Nagar car accident, Pune Municipal Corporation has taken a stern stance against unauthorised establishments.  Under the guidance of Assistant Commissioner Balasaheb Dhavale Patil, the Pune Municipal Corporation’s encroachment department, Hadapsar regional office, and building development department conducted a significant anti-encroachment operation. This coordinated effort targeted unauthorized constructions and sheds from Bhairoba Nala to Ravidarshan on Pune-Solapur Road, successfully clearing a total of 26,000 square feet of front margins.

Additionally, the encroachment department took action against businesses violating terms, defaulting on rental licenses, and engaging in unauthorized commercial activities. The primary focus was on removing encroachments within the front margins.

The official present during the drive were Regional Encroachment Inspector: Subhash Talekar, Executive Engineer: Shri Dabhade, Assistant Encroachment Inspectors: Dhammanand Gaikwad, Rahul Bokan, Dipali Bhalchim and Suraj Jarode.
