The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) is thrilled to announce the forthcoming Pune Cultural Art Forum, a vibrant exhibition commemorating the PMC’s 74th anniversary.

Scheduled to unfold from February 14 to 16, 2024, at the prestigious Bal Gandharv Kala Dalan, this event promises to be a showcase of Pune City’s rich cultural tapestry.

The 15th of February each year marks anniversary celebrations of the PMC. With over 25 years of hosting exhibitions.

Open to the public from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, the exhibition will feature an array of cultural artworks, photographs, paintings, and performances, providing an immersive experience into the city’s diverse cultural heritage and the artistic prowess of its residents.

Nisha Chavan, PMC’s Chief Legal Officer, has clarified that exhibition participation is exclusive to PMC employees in government roles, offering them a platform to showcase their hobbies to the public. Despite PMC’s extensive workforce of over 20,000 employees, only around 50-60 have registered to showcase their talents at this event.

Various engaging programs have been curated for PMC employees during the three-day exhibition. Highlights include photography presentations on the 14th and 16th of February, a cricket match between the HOD and the reporter’s team at Nehru Stadium on the 15th, and cultural presentations such as Marathi natak, solo and group dances, and Hindi and Marathi singing orchestras.

This celebration not only honors PMC’s legacy but also fosters a sense of community among its employees while inviting the broader Pune populace to revel in the city’s cultural richness.
