Indu Dubey Divisional Railway Manager, Pune welcomed Muralidhar Mohol Hon’ble Minister and briefed about the various infrastructural works completed in the Financial Year 2023-24 and till June’2024, on-going infrastructure projects, survey of new lines, station re-development by RLDA & Gati Shakti Unit, new survey works of Doubling / New lines i.e. Miraj-Kolhapur, Phaltan-Pandharpur, Pune-Baramati, Phaltan-Miraj, Miraj chord line, Talegaon-Uruli-Rajewadi and Pune-Ahmednagar.
It was also further informed that Pune-Nashik Semi High Speed project is under survey, 3rd & 4th line suburban corridor in between Pune-Lonavala was developed which is being executed by MRVC in this regard reply from Maharashtra Govt. awaited for cost sharing.
DRM/Pune asked for co-operation required for few areas like Hadapsar station approach road widening, removal of encroachments at Shivajinagar, Ghorpadi, Chinchwad and Pune station Tadiwala Road side, Traffic congestion at the approach of Pune station and under pass connecting multi-level parking to station blocked by shops and provision of approach road to Phursungi goods shed for better utilization of facility. Also, a mega coaching terminal plan near Uruli station to be developed to connect Airport, Bus terminal, metro road and city expansion plan.
Muralidhar Mohol appreciated for the information provided through presentation. He stated that, the concerned area and stations falling under his constituency which he represents should be taken in a broader way in terms of improvement to facilities and infrastructural developments of Pune and Shivajinagar Railway stations. He further stated the works that require his assistance with state authorities and Municipal Corporation pertaining to granting NOC, land acquisition at Hadapsar and Loni and obtaining consent to various works will be sorted. He opined that, the Pune division should provide him information of works being undertaken where is assistance is required, so that amicable decisions can be taken in consultation with state authorities and central ministry as the case may be. He further informed that, New Airport at Mumbai is underway and thus the connectivity to Pune and Mumbai may become advantageous and thus scope needs to be explored with respect to the town and Railway.
Mohol stated that, the feasibility to be explored as there is a huge demand for Vandhe Bharat Express, train towards Pune to Jodhpur, Pune to Junagarh and Pune to Keshavnagar.
Mohol assured his full support and assistance in expediting the progress of works which is withheld.
On this occasion Smt. Indu Dubey, Divisional railway Manager, Shri Prakash Upadhyaye, CPM (GSU), Dr. Milind Hirwe, Sr. DCM and all Brach Officers were present.
