Pune: NDA Trainee From Lucknow Dies By Suicide, Investigation Underway
Pune, October 10, 2025: An 18-year-old National Defence Academy (NDA) trainee from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, has reportedly died by suicide at the Pune campus.Â
Antriksh Kumar, who joined the academy in July and was in his first semester, was found hanging in his room with a bedsheet.
Authorities have launched an investigation, though no suicide note has been discovered.
Antriksh’s father is a former soldier, and the student had joined NDA with aspirations of serving the nation. The tragic incident has left the NDA community in shock and sparked discussions on the mental health and well-being of young cadets.
Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death, and the family has been duly informed.
