The Maha Metro has approved the construction of a new flyover at Vishrantwadi Chowk, linking Airport Road to Alandi Road. This approval comes after a thorough joint inspection to ensure that the flyover and the planned Metro line can be built without design conflicts.

The groundwork for the flyover has started, but the Metro line proposal is still being reviewed. Former corporators raised concerns about possible design clashes between the projects during a recent PMC meeting in Pune. The meeting, attended by Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Muralidhar Mohol, focused on resolving these design conflicts.

Due to these worries, construction on the flyover was momentarily stopped awaiting the joint inspection by Maha Metro and PMC. An APMC official verified that both organizations have assessed the blueprints and determined that the Metro line can be built without disrupting the flyover project.

The PMC has effectively applied comparable measures for Metro pillars on a different flyover venture on Sinhagad Road. The Vishrantwadi Chowk flyover will mark the second occasion where the civic administration has incorporated arrangements to integrate the Metro line into its design structure.
