Pune News: 18-Year-Old Detained After Alleged Sodomization Of Minor In Rahatani

A motorcyclist was arrested for allegedly sodomizing a 12-year-old boy from Rahatani on Saturday morning around 9:30 am. According to the Wakad police, the boy was walking along the road when 18-year-old Uday Lokhande, a resident of Pimple Gurav, approached him and offered to give him a ride home on his motorcycle. Instead of taking him home, Lokhande took the boy to a secluded room near an open plot where he assaulted him. After the incident, he reportedly beat the boy, threatened him, and spat on him before fleeing the scene. The boy later shared the traumatic experience with his father, who filed a complaint with the police later that night.

The police reviewed CCTV footage from the area and were able to identify Lokhande’s motorcycle registration number, leading to his arrest. This incident follows a similar case in 2021, where a 21-year-old man was arrested for sodomizing an 11-year-old student in the Pimpri Chinchwad area.
