Pune News : 4 people brutally assault Bramha Aangan society chairman; Police registers case
Four members of the Bramha Aangan Society in Kondhwa assaulted the chairman of the society using fists & sharp weapons on December 27, 2023 (Wednesday).
As per information from the FIR accessed by Pune Pulse, a complaint was filed against Asif Mushtaq Qazi, Ashpak Mushtaq Qazi, Arvind Chopra & Henry D’Silva.
The society chairman Shahid Habibul Shaikh filed a case against the four accused. Asif Kazi, Ashfaque Kazi and Arvind Chopra and Henry D’Silva had filed a case against the committee at the Deputy district registrar office located near Hamal Bhavan. Also, the society had also filed a case against the SRA scheme building builder Nadim Isaq Parihar, secretary.
Shahid narrated the incident. He said, “On December 27, at 15:00 hours the above-mentioned men had appeared for the hearing on the case against the committee members filed by the accused. After the meeting was over, me and Santosh Ingulkar began walking down the stairs. But Ashfaque Kazi began talking to us asking us to withdraw the case in a harsh tone. We denied, but he continued abusing us and threatened us too. While this was happening, Arvind Chopra, Henry Dsilva and Asif Kazi and us had a verbal fight. Ashfaque Kazi held Santosh Ingulkars hand and pushed him to the side.
Both Ashfaque Kazi and Asif Kazi began hitting me with their hands and also picked up stones to hit me. One of the stones hit on my ear which injured me badly. When I began bleeding, Arvind Chopra and others ran away from the spot and drove in Arvind Chopra’s car while me and Santosh went to Swargate police station. I have suffered four stitches. Shahid is further seeking treatment at KEM hospital.
Digambar Hausare, Deputy Registrar, Pune said, “There is an internal issue between the complainants and accused due to which both the parties had visited the office to attend an hearing.”
Santosh Ingulkar, Secretary, Bramha Angan Society, Kondhwa said, “The FIR filed by Ashpak Qazi is completely fake. It is simply to counter our complaint about the original incident. The case is misleading.”
Ashfaque Kazi had also filed a complaint against the society members Santosh Ingulkar, Shahid Shaikh, Sharaf Ali Mushki. In his complaint he stated, “On December 27 at 4 PM at the DDR office in Market Yard, I was accompanying my brother Asif Kazi for a complaint filed against a committee member Sharaf Ali Mushki. After the hearing was over, while we were coming down, society chairman Shahid Shaikh abused me.
While the verbal fight continued, Santosh Ingulkar, secretary hurled abuses at us and called us thieves. He also alleged that we have sold the SRA space and have gained benefits out of the same. Santosh Ingulkar, removed a silver pipe from his bag and lifted his hand to hit me but I saved my self from the pipe but unfortunately it hit my hand and it got fractured.
Trying to save myself, i climbed down but Sharad Ali hurled a stone but I saved myself from the stone. I then went to Sassoon hospital for medical examination as advised by the Maharshi Nagar police chowky officials. The Sassoon hospital advised rest and diagnosed fracture in my left hand. After I reached home, I began experiencing pain in my right hand, hence I visited Anandpur Charitable Trust where the doctors diagnosed that my right hand is also fractured.“
The case is filed under sections IPC 323, 324, 326, 34, 504 and 506.
