Pune News: ASCA Monthly Meeting Celebrates Members And Welcomes Expert Talk In Pimple SaudagarÂ
The All Senior Citizens Association’s monthly meeting, held on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at 5 PM in Pimple Saudagar, was conducted in a vibrant and enthusiastic atmosphere. The event began with a collective prayer, followed by a tribute to both known and unknown deceased members and great personalities whose anniversaries fell during the month.
Members with birthdays in August were honored with rose flowers. Talented members showcased their skills, singing devotional and emotional songs. Notably, Mr. Umesh Dhoot’s performance of a scene from the play “Natsamrat” captivated the audience, bringing both smiles and tears.
The meeting featured a special guest, Dr. Sandeep Borse, a neurologist, who was warmly welcomed with applause. Mr. Subhash Patil, the ASCA treasurer, introduced Dr. Borse and his father, both of whom were presented with bouquets by ASCA President Dr. Subhashchandra Pawar and Mr. Patil. Dr. Borse gave a talk on brain and nervous system disorders common among senior citizens, providing valuable insights in simple language. Members actively participated by asking questions and clearing their doubts.
The meeting concluded with refreshments and a vote of thanks. The event was well-coordinated with the help of executive committee members and was beautifully compered by Mrs. Shakuntala Tai Shinde. The notable presence of senior members Mr. Vinayak Kelo, Mr. Ramesh Vani, Mr. R.K. Patil, and Mr. Vilas Joshi added to the gathering.
