Pune News: Building contractor, lift maintenance company booked for faulty lift posing risk to lives of Sai Velocity society residents in Bavdhan

Pune: In a shocking incident, a lift maintenance company, building contractor and one more were booked by the Pimpri Chinchwad police for allegedly providing a faulty lift in Sai Velocity Housing Society in Bavdhan.
As per information, the complainant Bharat Tatayaba Chaudhari lodged the police complaint in this case and an FIR has been registered at Hinjewadi police station under sections 336 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.
According to police, Bharat Chaudhari along with his wife and one more person was using a lift to go to the seventh floor of the building. However, the lift did not stop on the seventh floor and went to the tenth floor. When the complaint came out of the lift on the tenth floor, suddenly the lift started falling downwards and collapsed. Fortunately, no one was injured in this incident.
According to the complaint, they have approached the builder as well as the firm that is responsible for the maintenance of the lift. However, the builder and the concerned firm have neglected the issue and left society residents in danger.
