Pune News : Case against PMPML bus driver for rash and negligent driving filed in Wanowrie police station

Pune: The bus driver of the Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) bus has been booked for rash and negligent driving which resulted in back bone injuries to a woman passenger.

Anjum Munawar Siddiqui was on her way to Pune station from Kondhwa with her sister on February 16.

When the bus was in Wanowrie near Girme school, a speeding bus jumped over a speed breaker as a result of which, a 45 years old woman suffered back bone injuries. Woman was suffering from pain.Immediately after the incident, the woman went to hospital, where she had undergone a medical test. Doctor told her that she had fractured her backbone due to a jerk created by a speeding bus after the bus jumped over a speed breaker.

On Friday, March 10, a woman approached Wanowrie police station and registered an FIR against bus driver Akshay Dube for rashly driving the bus with speed and neglecting safety and security of the passengers.

Police officials from the Wanowrie police station informed that, case has been registered against the bus driver under sections of 338 as per the complaint given by the woman.
