Pune News: Chakan and Mahalunge Police Hold Meeting To Tackle Traffic Problems

On August 1, 2024, Police Commissioner Vinay Kumar Chaubey conducted an inspection within the jurisdiction of Chakan and Mahalunge police stations to address traffic congestion issues. A joint traffic planning review meeting was held at Gabriel Company, Chakan.
The meeting was attended by various officials, including Mr. Dilip Mohite Patil (Khed Assembly Member), five officials from the National Highway Authority of India, MIDC engineers, Khed Tehsildar, Khed Block Development Officer, Chakan Municipal Council Executive Officer, Transport Traffic Commissioner and Transport Traffic Inspector, Pimpri Chinchwad Chief Engineer, three officials from the Pune Metropolitan Regional Development Authority, Public Works Department, Road Development Corporation, Project Officer, Village Development Officer, personal assistant to MP Shirur, two contractors from the National Highway Authority of India, two officers from the State Transport Department, as well as the Deputy Commissioner of Police Traffic, Deputy Commissioner of Police Unit-3, Assistant Police Commissioner Traffic, Assistant Police Commissioner Chakan Division, Traffic Inspector Chakan, and senior police inspectors from Chakan and Mahalunge police stations.
The meeting reviewed the traffic problems in the Chakan and Mahalunge areas and discussed immediate measures to resolve the current traffic congestion issues. Recommendations for joint actions with other relevant departments were also provided to address the problems effectively.
