Pune News : Dapodi station ready for operations from May 15

Pune Metro’s Dapodi station is ready, paving the way for faster and more convenient transportation for residents in the area. The Dapodi station is the last stop on the Pimpri-Shivajinagar route, and its completion marks a significant milestone for the Pune Metro project. With this station now operational, the much-awaited metro service is expected to begin after May 15, providing commuters with a comfortable and efficient mode of transport.

According to reports, residents of Pimpri-Chinchwad will now be able to travel to Pune city in just 22 minutes, The opening of this route from Pimpri to Shivajinagar was planned for last October. MahaMetro then declared that it would be opened in January. Finally, MahaMetro has scheduled its opening after May 15.

The Mahametro is gearing up to launch its services on the 8 KM route from Phugewadi to Civil Court, Shivaji Nagar after May 15. Final clearance from the Rail Safety commissioner is awaited. 

The Dapodi station has been designed with state-of-the-art facilities, including modern elevators, escalators, and other amenities to provide a comfortable experience for passengers. The station is also equipped with the latest safety and security features, ensuring the well-being of commuters at all times.

“Currently, the MahaMetro operates the five-station Pimpri to Phugewadi segment of the Pune Metro. “We are now operating 16 rakes in PCMC and PMC boundaries. In both cities, we will have 34 rakes accessible, Hemant Sonawane Mahametro Spokesperson stated.
