Pune: A family dispute turned fatal in Dhayari, Pune, as a 35-year-old man fell from a balcony and died during an altercation with his cousin. The incident occurred in Kapil Apartment, Matenagar, Dhayari, on Sinhagad Road. Nanded City police have arrested the deceased’s cousin in connection with the case.

The deceased has been identified as Amar Kisan Deshmukh (35), a resident of Kapil Apartment, Dhayari. His cousin, Raju Bhurelal Deshmukh, who lives in the same building, has been taken into custody. The complaint was filed by Mohapat Hariram Sahare (36) at Nanded City Police Station.

According to police reports, Amar and Raju, both originally from Madhya Pradesh, worked together at a food production company. On Friday around 8:30 PM, a heated argument erupted between them over a family matter after Raju allegedly used offensive words about Amar’s wife. The argument escalated, and Amar charged at Raju. In the ensuing scuffle, Raju pushed Amar, causing him to fall from the balcony and suffer severe head injuries.

Neighbors immediately rushed Amar to a private hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment. The police arrested Raju following their investigation, which confirmed the sequence of events. Inspector Gurudutt More is leading the investigation.
