Pune News: Five held for assaulting hotel manager

Pune: Wakad police have arrested five people for threatening a hotel manager and asking him to provide a free room at his hotel.

As per information, the incident took place on October 26 at 11 p.m. in Shivraj Nagar, Rahatani. The five accused approached the manager of the Sambram Inn lodge and demanded a free room from him. When the manager refused, the accused allegedly attacked him, injuring him seriously and stole Rs 6000 from him.

The victim identified as Nitin Shetty has registered a case at Wakad Police against the 5 accused. The accused have been identified as Aniket Mapari (Pimpri Resident), Aditya aka Niranjan Ahirrao (Kalewadi Resident), Akash Shete (Rahatani Resident), Ashish Shete (Rahatani Resident) & Pratik Mane (Thergaon Resident).

The case has been registered under Sections 395, 504, 506 (2) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). All the accused have been arrested by the Wakad Police. Further investigation into the case is underway.
