Pune News: Foundation Laying For New Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissioner’s Office To Be Held On February 6
Pune, February 5, 2025 – The groundbreaking ceremony for the new environmentally sustainable and state-of-the-art Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissioner’s Office, along with the Mahalunge Industrial Police Complex and Police Rest House in Dehu Road, will take place on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at 12:00 PM. The event will be graced by Maharashtra’s Chief Minister and Home Minister, Devendra Fadnavis, who will officiate the foundation stone-laying ceremony.
The ceremony will be attended by several prominent dignitaries, including Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil (Minister of Water Resources, Godavari Krishna Valley Development Corporation), Chandrakant Patil (Minister of Higher and Technical Education, Parliamentary Affairs),

Uday Samant (Minister of Industries and Marathi Language), Dattatraya Bharne (Minister of Sports, Youth Welfare, and Minority Development), Neelam Gorhe (Deputy Chairperson of Maharashtra Legislative Council), Madhuri Misal (Minister of State for Urban Development, Transport, Social Justice, and Medical Education), and Yogesh Kadam (Minister of State for Home, Urban Areas). Distinguished Members of Parliament, Members of the Legislative Assembly, and other public representatives will also be present.

Under the leadership of Police Commissioner Vinay Kumar Choubey, persistent efforts led to the approval of 3.39 hectares of land at Gat No. 539, Chikhli, Pune, opposite the MNGL Petrol Pump, on September 23, 2024. Following the preparation of the project layout and budget, the state government granted administrative approval on October 15, 2024, for an estimated cost of ₹180.62 crore.
The new building will house several essential branches, including Special Branch, Crime Branch, Application Branch, MOB-PCB Branch, FRO Branch, Women’s Assistance Cell, Senior Citizens’ Cell, Wireless, Control Room, War Room, CCTV Room, Social Media Lab, Canteen, Gym, TAU, ATB, AHTU Crime Branch, Passport and Verification Office, Accounts Branch, Conference Hall, and Press Room.
Additionally, to accommodate police officers and staff deployed for the annual Sant Tukaram Maharaj and Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Palkhi processions, the Dehu Road Police Rest House will be constructed with an approved budget of ₹11 crore, facilitated through the Dehu Pilgrimage Development Plan.

For the Mahalunge Industrial Police Complex, 20 gunthas of land at Plot No. P-11, Phase R, HP Chowk, Khalumbre, Tal. Khed, Dist. Pune, were secured. An estimated ₹18.66 crore for the project has been approved through CSR funds from the Chakan Industrial Association, with implementation support from the Vagmi Foundation.
The event will also feature the inauguration of the Shivneri Auditorium at the current Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissioner’s Office, located at Premlok Park, Chinchwad, supported by the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation under Commissioner Shekhar Singh.
