Pune city police have apprehended four people, including two minors, in connection with the robbery of two students from Nagaland at Baner Hill on September 28. The accused reportedly threatened the victims with a sharp weapon, stealing a mobile phone and valuables worth ₹20,000.

Two of the suspects were arrested, while the two minors involved were sent to a juvenile observation home.

According to the police, the victims, both 19-year-old students at Spicer Adventist University, had gone for an evening walk at Baner Hill when the robbery occurred around 7:30 pm. The assailants threatened the students, demanding the password to one of their phones. When the victims resisted, one was injured after being struck in the knees. The robbers fled when the victim cried for help, and the injured student later received treatment at Aundh’s government hospital.

Following a tip-off, a police team led by Sub-Inspector Pranil Chowgule tracked down the suspects. Inspector Mahesh Bolkotgi stated that a motorcycle and a sharp weapon used in the crime were seized during the arrests.
