Pune News : Complaint filed against B U Bhandari and M & M Realtors for causing Rs 2.16 crore fraud

Pune: A case has been filed against seven people, including three builders, and bank officials for duping a businessman for the tune of Rs 2.54 crore at Hadapsar police station, said police.

According to the police, the complainant Rahul Ramdas Tupe from RR Tupe builders has approached the court and as per directions given by court an FIR has been registered at Hadapsar police station on Saturday.

In his complaint Tupe alleged that he had given his 51,000 sq feet land in Hadapsar to the VTP Urban project in 2018 on the revenue sharing basis of 41.73 :58.27 per cent of the total revenue generation.

Tupe said, “They have opened an escrow account in a co-operative bank and started withdrawing money by using cheques. Legally a cheque withdrawal facility is not available for such an account. After my objection,they have opened another escrow account in a private bank without my permission and duped me for the tune of Rs 2.54 crore.’’

Tupe alleged that,accused sold out 92 flats and diverted money generated from it to VTP Urban project’s personal account and taking help of bank officials and duped him.

The alleged fraud took place between July 2016 and April 1, 2023, at Survey No. 201 in Hadapsar. The police registered the FIR against the accused based on a court order.

Arvind Gokule, police inspector said, A case has been registered at Hadapsar police station under order given by court and we have booked seven persons in this case under sections of 403,406,409,417,420,465,467 of the IPC and further investigation is going on.
