Residents of Hinjawadi Phase 3 in Pune are grappling with severe infrastructure issues, including deteriorating road conditions, unreliable drinking water supply, and a lack of essential amenities. Among these problems, the absence of adequate streetlights has emerged as a critical concern, raising serious safety issues for the community.

Local residents have reported to Pune Pulse that, despite their repeated complaints to various authorities, there has been no tangible improvement. The lack of streetlights on both main and internal roads has made the area poorly lit, creating a hazardous environment for residents.

The residents complained that crater size potholes are causing major accidents on the  road. Problem is adding due to lack of streetlights on the road. PMRDA, Hinjawadi gram panchayat, MIDC or any competent authority must take up the work of providing infrastructure to the area.

A resident from Tinsel Town highlighted that the problem affects approximately 5,000 flats in the region. The deficiency in street lighting, coupled with the poor state of the roads, has led to a feeling of neglect among the residents. They describe their experience as living in a village-like setting, a stark contrast to the modern, bustling environment expected in an area known for hosting some of India’s top IT and software companies.

The persistent issues with infrastructure have led to growing frustration among the residents, who feel their area is not receiving the development and attention it needs. They are calling for immediate action to address these problems and improve their quality of life.
