Pune News : Husband tries to kill wife over suspicion of her WhatsApp communication

Pune: In a shocking incident, a person attempted to kill his wife as he was angry over the wife for chatting on WhatsApp. Sangvi Police have arrested 2 accused i.e. the husband & his father.

As per the information, the complainant’s husband (co-accused), identified as Vicky Sonawane, got angry as to why the complainant (identity not disclosed) was talking on WhatsApp chats. So, he used to frequently drink alcohol from time to time and beat the complainant. Also, the accused Vicky put a rope around the complainant’s neck, tied the rope to the ceiling fan of the house, made the complainant stand on a chair and pushed her down from the chair.

Additionally, although the father-in-law of the complainant (co-accused), identified as Ramesh Sonawane, knew about these incidents, he did not attempt to save/defend the complainant.

Speaking to Pune Pulse, MD Warude, Sub Inspector, Sangvi Police Station said, “Both the accused in the case have been arrested & further probe is on.”

A case has been registered against the 2 accused at Sangvi Police Station under Sections 307, 506, and 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
