Pune News : Illegal Vehicle Parking in Kalyani Nagar, Causes Distress Among Residents

Pune: Illegal parking in front of D Mart and Cerebrum IT Park B-2 is causing a lot of inconvenience to the residents of Kalyani Nagar as every day they face the issue of traffic jams and lack of walking spaces for pedestrians. The unnecessary honking of horns by motorists has further aggravated the issue.Â
As per the information, the issue of illegal parking has been going on for many days now. In front of D Mart, a significant number of buses and trucks are illegally parked every night. During peak hours, this illegal parking causes severe traffic congestion. In the other portion of the road, many two-wheelers are parked illegally which is right in front of the IT park. The vehicles are parked in a way that creates problems for pedestrians. To make the matter worse, the residents have to suffer at night also due to the honking of motorists.
Assuring the residents and commuters about resolving the issue soon, Vijaykumar Magar, DCP Traffic Police Pune said, “I have been noticing this illegal parking issue of Kalyani Nagar. I have instructed the traffic unit to immediately start implementing rules strictly and also impose fines. Soon, this parking issue will be resolved.”
The residents & commuters have urged officials to resolve this issue immediately.
