Income Tax Department introduces new ‘Discard ITR’ facility. Things to know about it
Pune : Amid the Income Tax raids on British Broadcasting Company (BBC) offices in Mumbai and Delhi offices, on Wednesday morning IT officials raided eight premises related to prominent persons in the construction industry.
It was said that, IT raids in Pune are associated with owner of the City group Aniruddha Deshpande and raids are going on at various premises of City group in Hadapsar area. However there was not any confirmation about the same from the Income Tax department.
Sources in the Income Tax Department stated that an investigation into financial transactions and tax evasion of these companies have been started, and scrutiny of many documents and files have been going on. The official also informed that around eight teams of the Income Tax Department are working at different places in Pune.
According to the information received from the Income Tax Department, the team raided City Group, a construction company. Along with this, some teams of the Income Tax Department have also been inside the famous Amanora Tower in Hadapsar since early morning.
