Pune News : Jewellery worth Rs. 2.18 lakh stolen from Gera, world of Joy Housing Society in Wagholi

A theft occurred in Wagholi during the late evening hours, resulting in the loss of jewellery valued at over Rs. 2,18,000 from a residential home in the Gera, World of Joy Housing Society. 

The incident, which transpired on Sunday, April 21, between 8 pm and 10 pm, prompted a 26-year-old resident to file a complaint with the Lonikand Police Station.

The complainant reported that upon returning home at around 10 pm, she noticed signs of forced entry through the balcony into her residence. 

Further inspection revealed that her travel bag, kept in the hall had been tampered with, and jewellery worth Rs. 2,18,000 was missing. Promptly, she alerted the Lonikand Police Station, leading to the initiation of an investigation into the matter.

The Lonikand Police have registered a case under IPC Section 380 (theft in dwelling house, etc.), and Police Constable Karnavar has been assigned to investigate the incident. As efforts to apprehend the perpetrator intensify, authorities are working diligently to recover the stolen jewellery and bring the culprit to justice.

Residents of Gera, World of Joy Housing Society and surrounding areas are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities promptly.
