Pune News : Kondhwa Police Nabs Husband For Stealing Valuables From Wife’s House

Pune: Kondhwa police have arrested a person for allegedly stealing valuables from his wife’s home. The accused is identified as Mohammad Azharuddin Momin and is a resident of Beed.
As per the information, the complainant and her husband were living separately due to a marital dispute. While searching for the accused, it was becoming difficult to catch him as Momin kept changing places to Delhi, Punjab, Haryana etc. On 26th June, upon receiving a tip-off that the Momin came to Kondhwa, the police detained him immediately.
During the inquiry, the accused said that he had not been to Pune for two to three months. However, when the technical analysis of his mobile phone was done, it was found that he was lying. It was also revealed that his location was at the crime scene when the crime occurred.
Upon further investigation, he revealed that he had sold the jewellery at Beed. The jewellery is worth Rs 1,09,000 and has been confiscated from Beed.
A case has been registered under IPC Sections 454, 457 and 380. Further investigation is going on.
