Pune: In a swift response, the Katraj Fire Brigade, Pune Municipal Corporation successfully rescued a man who fell into a well along with his pickup tempo on Katraj-Kondhwa Road in Gokul Nagar near Purandar Washing Center today. The incident took place at around 9:49 am and the fire brigade received the report immediately.

Upon reaching the spot, the firefighters saw that the person was holding a rope and standing in a broken state in the approximately 40-feet deep well. The firefighters quickly lowered jawan Kiran Patil down into the well, who communicated with the person stuck in the well and tied a rope around his waist. Using a ring, the team successfully pulled the person out of the well and released him safely.

Further details revealed that the incident occurred when the pickup tempo driver, Vinod Pawar (35), got out of the vehicle, and it suddenly went in reverse, causing him to fall into the well. The prompt response from the Katraj Fire Brigade saved Pawar’s life.

The entire operation was completed in approximately thirty minutes, highlighting the professionalism and efficiency of the Katraj Fire Brigade.
