Pune News: Man Suffers Injuries As Fireman Attacks Near National War Memorial and Bhairobanala Chowk Near Wanowrie

Pune: A shocking incident took place on the night of July 2 as a fireman attacked a man on a road between the National War Memorial and Bhairobanala Chowk near Wanowrie while he was travelling with his family in a car. 

Speaking to Pune Pulse, Ajay Shitole, Sub Inspector, Wanowrie Police Station said, “A family was travelling in a car to their home on the road between National War Memorial and Bhairobanala Chowk. The victim is identified as Huzaifa Shaikh. A fireman, identified as Gaurav Kamble, came speeding on his bike in front of the car. He was riding in a very rash manner. Shaikh fiercely applied the brakes. Kamble stopped in front of Shaikh’s car and started abusing him. Shaikh stepped out and told him it wasn’t his fault. Still, the fireman didn’t listen to Shaikh, held his collar, took a stone and hit it on Shaikh’s head. After that, Kamble sped away on his bike.”

As per information from Ajay Shitole, Shaikh suffered a head injury and minor injuries on his neck and shoulder. He was immediately sent to Sassoon Hospital and got treated soon. The Wanowrie police caught and arrested Kamble on July 3 and a case has been registered under Sections 324, 509, 506 & 504 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Further investigation is going on.
