Pune News : Massive fire breaks out at Ganesh Nagar in Dhayari
Pune: A massive fire broke out an unidentified paint company based in Ganesh Nagar in Dhayari area of the Pune city on Tuesday evening. Fire brigade received a call at around 7:10 pm, immediately after which two fire brigade vehicles including one fire tender were deployed at the site to douse the fire. Fire tenders from Pune Metropolitan Regional Development Authority were also deployed at the site.
Total six small workshops were totally gutted in fire. According to the fire brigade officials, a total of four vehicles including two motorcycles, two four wheelers, furniture, vehicle repairing machines, spray and painting machines were gutted in fire. Total ten fire vehicles were deployed at the spot to douse the fire. Over 8 to 10 chemical barrels and gas cylinders exploded at the site.
According to the fire brigade they received a fire call on Tuesday at around 7:10 pm and they gained control over fire at around 7:42 pm. Locals confirmed that, to avoid further spread of the fire, the fire brigade officials had vacated neighbouring housing societies.
