Pune : Pune Municipal Corporations’s water supply department has announced that it will be conducting metering work at the Kedareshwar storage tank at Kondhwa Budruk and Mahadev Mandir storage tank at Katraj. The work of installation of a water flow meter on 1296 mm diameter pipeline will be held on 25 February, which will result in a temporary shut-off of water supply to the affected areas.

Nandkishor Jagtap, executive engineer, Water Supply department, Pune Municipal Corporation said, “All citizens residing in Katraj Gavthan, Gujar phata, Nimbalkar Vasti, Utkarsh Society, Bhushan Society, Omkar Society, Rajas Society, Varkhade Nagar, Mauli Nagar, Shivashambho nagar, Gokul nagar, Sukhsagar Nagar Part-1 & 2, Sai nagar, Gajanan nagar, Kakade Vasti, Gangadham, Shatrunjay Road, Katraj – Kondhwa Road, Tilekar Nagar, Yeolewadi, Kondhwa Budruk Gavthan, Shraddha nagar, Punyadham Ashram Road, Talab Company Premises, Laxminagar, Ambedkar Nagar, Khadi Machine, Badhenagar, Yeolewadi Main Road, Rajiv Gandhi Nagar, Upper Indira Nagar are advised to note the temporary shut-off and make necessary arrangements accordingly.”

The water supply to the affected areas will be restored on the next day, with less demand. The Pune Municipal Corporation has requested all citizens to take note of this announcement and cooperate with the authorities during the metering work.
