Pune News : No water supply in Pune
Pune: In an effort to install flow meters in various areas of Pune city, water supply will be temporarily disrupted in some parts of the city. The citizens of Pune are requested to take note of the following dates and co-operate and use water judiciously. As the water supply department is working on the 24 by 7 water supply scheme and as next step the flow meters will be installed.
The water supply will be cut off on February 15, 2023, in the following areas due to the installation of a flow meter at Sanas Pumping Station: Rosie Nanhe, Dhayari Manas Complex, and Dhayari Khandoba Temple Complex Gali no. B-10 to B-14. On the next day, water will be supplied at low pressure in these areas.
On February 16, 2023, the water supply will be disrupted in other areas of the city due to the installation of flow meters. The first affected area will be Bopodi, Angel Park, Khadki, Sahara Hotel, Raj Bhavan, Panchvati, Aundh, Khadki Ammunition Factory, and Abhimanashree Society, due to the installation of a flow meter at Chatushrungi GSR inlet 1200mm and Siporex Khadki line 250mm.
Due to the installation of a flow meter at Padmavati GSR, the second affected areas due to the installation of flow meters will be Bibvewadi, Upper & Super Indiranagar, Sambhajinagar, Kashinath Patil Nagar, Lower Indiranagar, Chintamaninagar, State Banknagar, Lake Town, Gangadham, Bibvewadi, Kondhwa Road, Vidyasagar Colony, Salisbury Park, Maharshinagar, Market Yard, Dhankawadi, Gulabnagar, Chaitanyanagar and Taljai Colony area.
Due to the installation of flow meters at New Cantonment Water Purification Center and Ramtekdi Kharadi Noble Hospital, the third affected areas will be Sasanenagar, Kaleboratenagar, Hadapsar Gavthan, Fursungi, Syednagar, Satavwadi, Indraprastha, Magarpatta, Wanwadi, Chandannagar, Kharadi, Ramtekdi, Malwadi, Bhosle Garden, Akashvani, Laxmi Colony, Mahadev Nagar, and Magarpatta.
The citizens of the affected areas are requested to cooperate during the disruption and take note of the temporary disruption in water supply. The water supply will resume as normal on the following day but at low pressure. The authorities have requested citizens to store sufficient water in advance to avoid inconvenience.
