Pune News: Patheya Foundation's Blood Donation Camp Draws Strong Community Support In Pimple Saudagar
Pune, November 17, 2025: Demonstrating a strong spirit of social responsibility, the Patheya Foundation successfully organized a blood donation camp on Saturday 15 Novemeber at the Mahadev Mandir Sabha Mandap in Pimple Saudagar. The event saw an enthusiastic turnout from local residents, youth groups, and volunteers, all uniting for the critical cause of saving lives. The event was graced by the presence of Sandeep Kate, Umesh Kate, Sandesh Kate, Sanjay Bhise, and other dignitaries from Pimple Saudagar.
The camp, set up opposite the Pimple Saudagar Police Chowky, was conducted in collaboration with the Jankalyan Blood Bank. The bank’s medical team managed the entire process, from donor registration and health screening to the safe collection of blood units.
Dozens of donors came forward to contribute, underscoring the community’s growing awareness and commitment to supporting healthcare emergencies. The foundation expressed its gratitude to every individual who participated, emphasizing that each donation has the potential to be a lifeline for patients in need.

A Foundation of Multifaceted Service
The blood donation camp is one of several key initiatives run by the Patheya Foundation, which is actively engaged in health, environmental, and social welfare projects in the area.
1. Shri Ram Arogya Sahitya Kendra
For the past two years, this project has been providing essential medical equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers, commode chairs, and air beds to those in need, entirely free of cost. This initiative offers crucial support to families navigating medical challenges without the burden of rental fees.
2. Nakshatravan
In a significant push for environmental conservation, the Foundation, through its Environment Conservation Association (ECA), has developed ‘Nakshatravan.’ Located on the boundary of Pimple Saudagar and Pimple Gurav, this green space features over 3,500 native trees, each inspired by the 27 Nakshatras (lunar constellations). Supported by an 18,000-litre water storage system and maintained by dedicated volunteers, Nakshatravan is fast becoming a model for urban ecological restoration.
3. Plastic Mukta Nagar
This emerging initiative aims to foster a cleaner, plastic-free Pimple Saudagar. The campaign focuses on promoting waste segregation, reducing single-use plastic, and encouraging the use of steel utensils in community functions and birthday parties to cut down on disposable waste. The program is steadily gaining traction and attracting more volunteers.
A Pledge for Continued Impact
Through its diverse and impactful projects, the Patheya Foundation continues to inspire active civic participation. The organization has announced plans to expand its volunteer network and scale up its activities in the coming months, reinforcing its commitment to community welfare.
Citizens interested in supporting or volunteering for the Foundation’s future programs are encouraged to come forward and join this growing movement for positive change. Connect on – 9833343018
