Pimpri-Chinchwad – The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has initiated a survey using advanced drone technology to assess new and additional properties in the city. Property owners identified in this survey are being promptly notified. For those with objections or grievances regarding property tax assessments, the PCMC has established seven fully equipped hearing centers in various parts of the city. Both offline and online facilities are available for these hearings.

Currently, there are 630,000 registered properties in Pimpri-Chinchwad. However, the municipal administration estimates that there are approximately 200,000 unregistered new and expanded properties. Under the guidance of Commissioner and Administrator Shekhar Singh and Additional Commissioner Pradeep Jambhale-Patil, Assistant Commissioner Nilesh Deshmukh has made a historic decision to conduct a survey using advanced drones for the first time in the history of the PCMC. A consulting firm has been appointed for this survey, which is now underway.

New property owners identified in the survey are being issued a special first notice regarding property tax assessments. If property owners have objections to this notice, they can file a written complaint at the relevant zonal office. The PCMC has designated seven centers for hearings. Once property owners bring all necessary documents, hearings will be conducted immediately.

Online Hearing Facility Also Available

In addition to the seven designated hearing centers, the PCMC offers an online hearing facility for property owners unable to attend in person. A scan code is provided for this purpose, which, when scanned, gives the date for the hearing.

24,000 Property Owners Issued Special Notice

So far, the PCMC has issued special first notices to 24,000 new and expanded property owners identified in the survey. Plans are in place to issue notices to 30,000 owners this week and to 75,000 owners by July 31.
