Decision Taken for Citizens’ Convenience, Says Tax Department

Pimpri, March 13, 2025: The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has announced that its tax assessment and collection offices will remain open on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays to facilitate property tax payments. With just 18 days left before the March 31, 2025, deadline, the move aims to ensure seamless tax collection as per the municipal budget targets.

The decision allows property owners in Pimpri-Chinchwad to pay their taxes even on holidays. PCMC operates 18 divisional tax collection offices, offering both offline and online payment options. As of now, â‚¹831 crore has been collected, but stringent actions—including property seizures, publication of defaulters’ names in newspapers, disconnection of water connections, and auctions of seized properties—are being taken against tax defaulters.

To remind citizens about pending payments, the tax department has also launched a telecalling campaign, urging residents to consider calls from 8888006666 and SMS alerts from @CP-PCMCPT and @CP-PCMCWT as official communications.

To further assist taxpayers, cash counters will remain open until March 31 from 9:45 AM to 5:45 PM daily, including weekends. Assistant Commissioner Avinash Shinde urged citizens to take advantage of this extension and clear their property tax dues on time.

Official Statement

“With the financial year-end approaching, the tax collection department is making all efforts to facilitate smooth payments. To ease the process, all 18 divisional tax offices and cash counters will remain open on weekends and public holidays. We urge taxpayers to pay their dues and contribute to the city’s development.” said Pradeep Jabhale-Patil, Additional Commissioner (1), PCMC.

Citizens are encouraged to make timely payments and support the city’s growth!
