Pune News: Pimpri Chinchwad Traffic dept announces temporary diversion due to repair of old railway bridge in Chinchwad gaon

Pune: Due to the repair works of the old railway bridge from Mahaveer Chowk to Chinchwad Village, the traffic department has suggested some alternative routes which will be effective from August 1 to August 10, 2023. It is worthy to note that the bridge is weakened and needs to be repaired.Â
As per information, in order to maintain a smooth flow of traffic in Pimpri Chinchwad city under Sections 115, 116 (1) (a) (b), 116(4) and 117 of the Motor Vehicles Act, the following orders are being issued temporarily regarding traffic:
1. Heavy and bulky vehicles going from Mahavir Chowk to Chinchwadgaon are being banned from the old railway bridge to Lokmanya Hospital Chowk.
The alternate route will be from Mahaveer Chowk- Khandoba Mal-Bhakti Shakti via Bijlinagar to the desired destination via River View-Chowk.
2. Two-wheelers / light vehicles going from Mahavir Chowk to Chinchwadgaon are not allowed from the old railway bridge to the Lokmanya hospital chowk.
Alternate Route will be from Mahaveer Chowk, take a left turn at Khandoba Mal Chowk and via Chinchwad Gaon to the desired destination.
Implementation of the above order will remain from 1/8/2023 to 10/8/2023.
Hence, citizens should use alternative routes and cooperate with the traffic department regarding the above transport changes.
