The members of the Pisoli Gaon Kruti Samiti today held a rasta roko at the Ambekar hotel chowk in Pisoli demanding relief in property tax and adequate water supply and other facilities from Pune Municipal Corporation.

The local residents complained that if the PMC administration has failed to provide us with the necessary facilities, we want our Gram panchayat status back. At present, we are paying three times more property tax but in return we are deprived of basic facilities such as drinking water supply, safety, proper road connectivity, waste management and other basic amenities. PMC should think about the merged villages on priority or the villagers may also hold protest in Mumbai at Chief Ministers office.

Pisoli residents complained that the godown owners in the area are being charged 15 times more PMC tax. They should be charged as per the Gram panchayat rates and not PMC ones. The residents held Rasta roko on Kondhwa Katraj road.

Residents gathered in huge numbers for the protest which saw participation of Mukund Masal, Machindra Dagade, Kiran Yepre, Deepak Dhawade, Ramdas Masal, Bhagwat Yepre, Rajendra Bhintade, Prakash Masal, Uttam Dhawade, Ganpat Masal, Vinayak Dhawade, Ganpat Bandal and many others.
